Ceri Worts and Edward Andrews won their third consecutive Top of the South Pairs at Clubs of Marlborough on Saturday.

Six pairs progressed after section play with Malcolm Anderson/Mary Landon-Lane beating Graham Henderson/Lachy Kearse (2-0) and Murray Wisdom/Paul Shepherd beating Leo Jeremiah/Bryce Cowley (2-1) to go through to meet the top seeds.

Top seeds Greg Croudis/Brent Simmons defeated Anderson/Landon-Lane (2-1) in a close semi-final whilst Worts/Andrews made short work of Wisdom/Shepherd (2-0) in the other semi.

Worts and Andrews played a strong final to defeat Croudis and Simmons (2-0).

The highest break of the tournament went to Worts with a 61. Other good breaks were Croudis 43, Worts and Simmons 40, and Kearse 30.
